Nonprofit organizations are hoping to team up with city leaders and local businesses in a project stemming from the Oklahoma “Bridge the Gap” initiative a program aimed at eliminating economic, cultural and societal hurdles along the road to success that will ultimately seek to jump-start families in poverty across the county. The project’s full working title, “Bridges Out of Poverty: Strategies for Professionals and Communities,” indicates its intention: to guide those who have the means and influence to guide others.
